mission

This urban infill project achieves a subtle balance between historical cottage and contemporary living, with an emphasis on livability and natural light. The design, which harmonizes historical renovation and new construction, was the result of working with both the historical planning board and the client to find the correct balance.  The historic front cottage was moved towards the street by 7 feet maintaining the character of this old but modernizing and rising city block in San Francisco, while beige colored condominiums at the rear blend into the background, hiding from street view. Providing needed housing in this dense, urban area of the city.
